Hello Everyone, I have a home made dome that I'm adapting the nextdome rotation/shutter kit to operate. The rotation setup is working perfectly now ( after upgrading the motor to handle a larger load) however, the shutter is being problematic. I have installed the motor on the left-hand side and switched the rotation according but when I try to calibrate the shutters full travel limit switches, under the ASCOM configuration, the shutter opens for a few seconds then stops, the software displays a calibration error and asks if I would like to try again? If I repeat the sequence again the shutter moves open for a few steps then stops. The manual rocker switch works perfectly to control the open/close movement.
Does anyone have any ideas please?
Thanks Wazza
I think it's in the Beaver config/test tool (I'm not near my Mac with the Windows VM to check).
Rodolphe, I just got my shutter and rotator talking to each other using Beaver. Where is the firmware version information found?
Steven
It would be good to know what version of the NexDome system you are using ?
Old one (old firmware originally from Pat, version 2.xx on Arduino boards), Version 3.x and 4.x of Tim Long firmware with original Arduino boards, new Beaver version from Lunatico with new boards (totally different system).
All 3 are totally imcompatible with each other and use different software (ASCOM, updaters, configuration .. X2 plugins if you use TheSkyX) ...
So we need more details.
I suggest you contact NexDome and see if Babak can help you, or maybe someone else who is familiar with the details of the firmware/hardware can help.
Good luck,
Steven
