Anybody know if there is a problem moving the rotator motor 7 feet from the control box? Would the amps be too low at that long of a wiring run?

You might try cutting the motor wires as close to the motor as possible (like 5 cm / 2" ) and the use AWG 18 (0.75 mm^2) or AWG 16 (1.5 mm^2) for the long run. Over 7ft (2.13m) the drop will be minimal and you should lose torque.
