The GreenLine MEGA-44 is our top-of-the-line roll-off roof observatory, designed for facilities that need to accommodate multiple telescopes within one structure.
This spacious observatory is ideal for telescope farms, astronomical societies, schools, universities, research institutions, companies, and other organizations requiring a reliable and versatile observing facility.
Several insulated “warm room” configurations are available, allowing operators to control equipment comfortably from a separate working area.
The MEGA-44 can also be equipped with advanced electric roof-drive systems. Control options include push-button operation, USB connectivity, Ethernet control, and ASCOM-compatible automation.
A lockable sliding entrance door is included as standard. Custom door configurations are available upon request.

Every GreenLine roll-off observatory is supplied ready for the installation of our SEMI or FULL automatic electric roof-drive systems. The standard package includes:

Please note that the stated dimensions refer to the internal observing area. The observatory requires a full concrete foundation measuring approximately 7.65 m × 4.00 m, with a recommended thickness of 20 cm.

Roof-Drive Systems
SEMI-Automatic Roof Drive
An inverter-controlled AC motor operates both the roof and rear wall using local push-button controls.
FULL Automatic Roof Drive
Includes push-button operation together with remote Ethernet control and ASCOM-compatible automation for integration with observatory control systems.
Installation
The GreenLine MEGA-44 can be installed by the customer. However, due to the size and weight of several structural components, professional installation is strongly recommended to ensure correct assembly, reliable operation, and long-term performance.
