My track is slightly off and when the gear hits the spot where they meet there is not enough room for the gear. I can see that this will cause problems.
Should I cut out a link or trim the links on both side to make a slot for the gear teeth?

The issue Earl ran into is that he cut a small piece of the track to make it fit.. so now there is place in the rotation missing a dip for the gear to go in
