Hello all,
I have a few questions I am hoping someone can answer.
Looking at the provided Schematics and Specifications document, it shows that the walls sits on the 86” circle in the first drawing. On the 3rd drawing it clearly shows one of the posts on the outside of that circle.
So my question goes out to those that have built the dome. Where has everyone set their posts?
I have built the walls and dome and know that having everything round is a big factor in rotation and such. Before I anchor the post into concrete, I want to ensure I have things precise so I started building a jig that I can slip the posts into and anchor in place. Any thoughts??
Thanks
Yep, they go on the inside of the walls.
I went through everything in my head again…. Drew it out and figured out where I was making a mistake. I incorrectly/miscalculated the diameter of the groove that the wheels ride in. It’s always the little things.
Onto my next question. Does anyone know the hole measurements that are suppose to be in the metal posts?
My metal post came in terrible condition where the top holes were not drilled straight or through the center. Some are at 48 ¾” others are down to 48 ¼”. Middle holes seem the same (24 ¾”) but some are not centered in the posts, and 2 of the posts have bottom holes that are ¼” difference, most are @ 2 ¼”. All measurements taken from the bottom of the posts.
So if anyone knows what the measurements need to be for all 3 holes or has a drawing…. I would appreciate it.
Thanks
The post are inside the structure.
